About Us

Meet the two individuals behind Cornerstone Property Services, James Gagnon and Byron Abarca.

James Gagnon, Partner & CEO: In 2015, following a 20-year career in sales and product development, began a career in real estate launching GPI Homes, he was responsible for acquisitions and project management for property flips. In 2016 he launched Rentwell Property Management in Baltimore. He has managed all aspects of rental units for over 250 clients. In 2018 Byron joined the Rentwell team to run the maintenance division. And In 2022 James & Byron launched Cornerstone Property Services.

Byron Abarca, Partner & COO, has had a long career in project management. Since 2007 he has been a field operations manager for residential and commercial projects, both in the US and abroad. Byron brings his decades of experience in business development, recruiting, project management and on-site supervision to Cornerstone.

Together, Byron and James bring a unique combination of expertise to your project.
